The Messina history of winemaking dates back to family winemaking merchants on the small island of Ischia in the bay of Naples, Italy. The excellent wines of Ischia have been in demand since Roman times and were desired by Roman nobility. The Messinas’ as wine growers and producers combined with the seafaring nature of an island people were producing wine and marketing their wines though out the Mediterranean for many years. 

I, Joseph Messina a descendant of these early vintners strive to produce wines of their admiral recognition. Present day production of Ischia wines does not meet the high demand. The famed wines seldom if ever leave the beautiful island of Ischia. However, wines produced with my ancestral background can be purchased directly from me at the Amici Vineyard or they can be delivered to your door.
